What the work covers, and the one condition attached
Each month: research into which treatments and towns are worth a page, then new pages or rewrites based on that. You see which URLs shipped. You can stop at the end of any month and the pages stay yours.
The condition is that it runs on sites we built. That is not a lock-in tactic. When we built the site we already hold the code and the Search Console access, so a new page goes live the week it is written. Taking over someone else's site means weeks of chasing logins and untangling a theme before anything ships, and that setup time is what pushes other retainers past a thousand dollars a month.
What to do if you already have a website
This is the common case and it has a straight answer: we rebuild first, then the retainer starts. The rebuild is $499 to $1,499 depending on page count, and after that monthly SEO is scoped the same as it would be for anyone else.
If your current site is fine and you would rather keep it, we are not the right fit for the monthly work, and we will tell you that instead of taking the first payment. Here is what the monthly work actually covers so you can judge it against whoever else you are talking to.
How to read someone else's quote
The useful questions are short. Which URLs will you publish this month? How long am I committed for? Do you promise a ranking?
A ranking promise is the clearest signal to walk away, because nobody controls Google's results and everyone in this business knows it. A twelve-month lock is worth asking about too — not because long contracts are always wrong, but because you should know why it is there before you sign one.
How long before it does anything
Profile work can move within weeks. Pages are slower: three to six months before organic movement means much, and longer in a metro where several companies have been at it for years.
Judge it on calls you could actually quote rather than on a rank tracker. Seasonal terms bring browsers in alongside the termite jobs, so position alone will tell you less than the phone will.
